Team Killing

What exactly is the policy on team killing?

Because it seems stupid that once someone gets kicked that they come right back in and tk again. Shouldn't you kick them for at least an hour or two?

well the server automatically kicks your for 3 TKs within a certain time period. However, it doesn't do a temp ban I don't think that plugin is capable of setting a temp ban on a player. I will look into it and possibly finding a new plugin that bans a player for like 10-45 minutes or whatever...

I have noticed that TKing has become an issue especially when an admin is not in the server (or I'm not watching from my console). I read the logs every once in a while just for fun (insert lame comments here) to see how people play (TKing, flag caps, kills in a row, etc...)

I wish we could, because most of the people who tk until they get kicked are little asses to begin with... And then they just come back and start tk'ing again...

Yes this has been a problem latly. And it usally happens even if there is [PDM] in the server, and there isnt anything we can do.

yeah, im experiencing that too...i havent really used console in a year or so, so can someone tell me how we can kick ppl who tk? so right when they reconnect we can kick them again

U have to be admin to kick someone w/o a vote.

Yea I agree with most of what is said on this thread.
I hate Teamkillers and I always end up killing people who kill me just out of hatred from being an ******* and a dumass.
And when they do get kicked, they come back for more.

So I think there's something needed to be done now!!!

I think the old Goonsquad Server had the best tk system was when someone tkd you u say !forgive or !punish tk and could give bout a half hour ban. im just suggesting even though you probably would if your plugin would let you.

I don't know if the server can do that, but if so- that would be something I would be all for... Because sometimes people accidentally tk(someone unintentionally runs in front of them when they are shooting, or you get a little jumpy) but when people come in and just run about tk-ing- that is retarded and it would be nice to be rid of them...

Hmmmm.....nova had an VERY good point about tking and admins. I you don't have admin, and the random dork knows this, he can basicly do whatever they want, ie spam, be an ass on the mic, ta, and tk.

I personally HATE the random arse and comes on and just screws with people, tks, then gets kicked by the server, rinse and repeat.

I can see where fearless leader is coming from also, he can't just hand out admin pirvs like its ice cream, he needs to be able to trust the person. and that is a huge problem for fearless leader, seeing is how trust can be in short supply, because people DO act differently when a higher power is around. Not saying that anybody here does that, welll not that i have seen, but i am saying that the random n00b does act differently if there is no admin on.

I personally think that "vote kicking" should be closed off to everyone but |r's and PDM members, so that way the |r's could possibly stop an idiot from ruining the game.

Also, the people with the kicking and banning powers have a bigger responsibility. This is how we did the kicking and baning priv at my old cs server.

There was always a system of checks and balances, ie admin chat on the server. The admins present on the server would talk to each other privatly and make a choice on whether or not to kick/ban the perp. And the admin that kicked the person would have to take a demo or alot of ss to prove to the higher admins that he or she was in the right for kicking the perp. Then the admin that did the kicking would post on the forums the person's steam id and say what he or she kicked or banned the person for, and then the person banned would have a chance to clear his or her name.

The people that abused the power of kicking and baning, ie not posting the reasons and just kicking people just cause, would have his or her powers taken away and put under review to see if the person was really the type of person to have admin.


Thats just one way to do it, i personally love that way of doing it, but it is not my choice to make, i still need to try out to get in the clan. But i feel that it a very strong system, and can really work. I just want fearless leader to take this system under consideration.


P.S. the other day i had the WORST tk luck, i accidently shot at what i thought was an axis mg42 person, and it turned out to be 2 allies (my teammates) which i killed both of them with one rifle bullet. 2 for me, none for u eh? lol and i felt so bad because fearless leader was right next to me. So i said my sorrys as i always do when i tk, then rush into the bottem of kmart. then was a person lurking in the shawdows, i fired, and killed fearless leader. This is all in one round mind u, i felt soooo bad.

I just wanted to say sorry to fearless leader, i was having a bad tk day that day :( ;) :rolleyes:

While this method is effective and very desireable that plugin always crashes the server... So I had removed it because all it did was not allow anyone to play until I was notified the server was down... however, I am looking at doing a 30 minute temp ban on ppl who get kicked for TKing under the current system they just get kicked... well now it would be a temp ban of 30 minutes... (still trying to figure that one out)...

Socahtoa, I must say I like your system that you have diagramed... I think I shall implement something such as that (See Lucifer that is another reason we get new ppl in the clan... new ideas)
