Hey guys, I just wanted to know what you all think about the whole Todd Bertuzzi thing.

personnally, i think he should be prosecuted. Obviously violence and fights are a big part of hockey, but when you so obviously sucker punch someone like he did and it seriously injures someone its no longer just part of the game and i don't think it should be tolerated.

That was the great thing about hockey, unlike other sports where fighting is considered unsportsmanlike, two guys in hockey can get into a fight and just pummel each other for the ammusment of the crowd and to release some aggression. both were willing participants and there was even a sportsmanship to it.

but incidents like this could bring an end to that. thats why i say prosecute him and send a message to the rest of the league that these actions won't be tolerated. what do you guys think?

That was the biggest cheap shot i have ever seen in my life, even bigget then that other guys hit a few years ago. And yes i agree with you that fighting is part of the game, but your also wrong about that its also sportsmans like. Granted they both get into the same fight but sometimes its to protect themselfs, other times its becaouse of retaliation, they just dont go up to eachother and say hey lets fight. Because thats stupid to take a penilty if your in a dead lock game because you never know how the penalties will fall, plus you could get fined or suspended for the fight. I belive he should get punished and held acountable or his actions. And yes i did play, couch hockey, and i was also a zebra for a season. so i know pretty much what im talking about.
