Bypassing Firewall

guys, can anyone help me bypass a network firewall in order to connect to steam? i have tried http-tunnel, but steam is not compatible with it, so i just want to see if anyone else ahs an idea to help me out....

if u have to login use novell and itsthe old version goto run so u can browse the stuff and delete all things that are even close to info about the firewall.. or just dont login... or go though the program files and delete it all.

i did it at skool deleted novelll and some drivers and the cpu went nutz. it was gr8

im sure it was, but i login regularly on my comp w/o using novell, thats how they used to do it but everyone would just delete it and bam! a worm almost destroyed the entire network...

ask the school to open up the right ports? make up some story about needing it...thats how i got irc back when they shut down port 6667 among others.

OR YOU CAN JUST TURN YOUR FIREWALL OFF IT WONT MATTER FOR THAT HOUR OR TWO YOU PLAY DOD, if you turn your firewall off make sure to close all p2p programs or torrent. :D

it not a firewall on his pc they have a network and the network administrator has controle

Renegade im not an idiot, its a NW firewall

and Vastikan, some ppl have asked them to open the steam ports, but the head tech guy is kind of a nig, but i will try asking one of them sometime soon, maybe plead with him

I wish I still had that extra server out on the interweb to set up a proxy connection for the swiss man to connect to and then connect to steam on... But back in about Sept. I stopped paying for that server as I stopped using it (and they had started charging for it again. They hadn't charged me for it for 3 months prior to that... lol). I unfortunately will not rent out a server on the interweb just for that purpose as it tends to not be cheap.

But that would be the easiest solution if they won't open up the ports on the network for them. However we would have to set it up to be go across on dynamic ports so as they wouldn't block the ports that all of a sudden have high traffic on commonly unused ports... =] Gotta think things through like that...
