virus

well all it looks like my gaming rig has fallen ill to a mad virus and a few trojans... I have no clue which they were... but I am going to have to attempt a repair on it...

If it cannot be repaired all will be lost! all e-mails that contain the passwords to everything, hosting information, clan information, all the files for the website, all the graphics... If it weren't a RAID array it would be allright...

Whatever it is attacked the registry so I am going to try and repair the windows installation. I hope I can otherwise I may have to try some networking crap and see if I can grab everything from the Harddrives and store it remotely... =\


anyways... warez is bad...

oh yeah.. also, no DoD until its working... I can't stand to play it on my laptop and I don't have STEAM installed on it either.. argh...

/me goes back to trying to figure this out...

heres a little update for all of you... it is currently 10PM here in mn and I have probably a good 2 hours of file transfering to do from the old hard drive setup to the temporary storage... then I have to wipe the old hard drives and install windows on it again and transfer all the files back over... and then install steam and get that bad boy working before tommorow nights match.

I think its screwed... so I am going to begin a new install... sucks to be me... all shall be lost for I could not find the files that store the data of outlook e-mails...

Are you at all able to print off those e-mails or files that have all of the important paperwork on them or is the stuff irreversibly lost???

I am afraid all is irreversibly lost. Unless by some act of God windows xp installation doesn't clear out everything like it did last time...

see the problem lies within the RAID array concept itself and windows XP installations... Windows likes to be dumb and just screw everything else up for you... but this doesn't look like the last install I had done... so who knows whats going to happen... Maybe all will not be lost and StIlTz will be a happy camper (refrence to camping thread) once again and be able to play DoD...


and then I get stuck at the product key part because I don't remember it and I don't know where it is... argh... should have written it down somewhere...

oh well.. I'll let it sit overnight like such... awaiting its cd-key

so I am a tad frustrated


but oh well.. I think I'll be able to game 2night...
