Steam Downtime Complete

The maintenance to the Steam system is now complete.
When you start your Steam client you be automatically be updated to the latest version, which includes these major changes:

Offline Play
Account validation (via e-mail)
A new Half-Life 2 hardware survey
Support for purchasing games through Steam

There are a number of bug fixes in Steam included as well.
The Half-Life 2 survey will be updated throughout the day with the results tallied here.

This update has proven very hard to get through steam and is likely due to all the people trying to get it from them. Is this how Steam is going to act for every update? I hope not...

Anyhoo, until I can get this update going our server is playing Anzio... Our host automatically updates the server for us and when they did the server restarted and when that happens it defaults to anzio...

Ok... I don't advocate posting twice in a row (thats why there is an edit button), however I see this as neccassary...

It took a long time for STEAM to update and do it so in a timely manner... However, it did it and then I had problems with the game (turned out to be network hardware troubles). But I've seen all of you out there gaming with the excpetion of Marty...

This weekend the gaming is on! PartyMarty and I will be at my house doing website stuff when not fraggin... but as long as there are people playing we'll be in there... (should be anyhoo)...
