I want to know if they are blowing smoke out their ear or what! Because I have been searching since I saw this and found no release dates on www.half-life2.com or www.steampowered.com or www.sierra.com

HOW DOES AMAZON KNOW WHEN HL2 WILL BE RELEASED WHEN Sierra doesn't know itself?!?!?!?!?!? :scratch:

Maybe amazon hasn't gotten the memo, but HL2's source was leaked on the net a few months ago. Its a real problem so the postponed it for a bit to change the code around or something. Maybe 8/1/04 was the origional release date.

i would rather check with vivendi universal, they are the publisher for half life 2 as far as i know.

i dont _think_ sierra is in it any more, and if they are, its only a little bit

I got the atibundle cd key for hl2!
if i use that account it wil pre cache counterstrike (source beta) to steam!
I understand the source beta is the new multieplayer engine for hl2,but dont know about all that,simply cause I am happy with the games I play!

moving on as I typ!I am now getting reddy to play source beta :S

you have 2 options when you buy hl2.
add it to your account you have now or make a new account.
make a new account for it you get all the other game you have again.
thats nice for lots of reasons ,you have a spare account you can log on to!
I got my hl2 key 10 months ago and used the account as an extra all the time,once its made playable i can play from minute 1

PC Gamer has the first official review of HL2 and it looks to live up to the hype boys. This is the big one.

PCG handed out a 98% to HL2; topping the originals score of 97% and tying for best score ever with Alpha Centauri. The physics engine and graphics are supposed to be phenomenal, the cinematic quality unsurpassed, the gameplay a blast. New toys, a good story, from the sounds of it this is the complete package. Suposed to put Farcry and Doom 3 to shame. I for one will be out to buy my silver package the day it comes out.

I think they released some tools for mapmaking and skin making 2 day's ago.

i couldnt tell for sure but i would bet part of it is due to the fact this is not the full release yet. you only get one map to play on (i think?) so only one character model would make sense as well.
